Advancing Diversity in the Airports

Partnership focuses on commitment to diverse participation

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) Airports has always been deeply committed to strengthening our communities. Now through our partnership in JFK T8 Innovation Partners, we are bringing our best-in-class initiatives to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

We are working to lower the barriers of entry to ensure our programs reflect the rich diversity of our communities URW launched the Advance Network to grow opportunities for more local and diverse businesses in the airports. We are also creating strong career paths for local workers and students and fostering impactful partnerships with local organizations.

“We are working together to help more minority businesses not just get in the door at JFK, but to give them the support to thrive when they get here,” said Lynden Scott, URW General Manager, JFK T8. “We believe in airports being open and accessible to local communities. We want to help make a real difference as we launch this reimagined terminal and support more wholly owned and operated minority and women businesses in the airport.”

The benefits of registering your business with the Advance Network include connecting through networking opportunities, exclusive invitations to participate in new business opportunities such as leasing and contracting and access to mentorship and growth opportunities.

Through the Advance Network, URW invests in and partners with new, emerging and established diverse and minority participants across all levels of business from leasing, contracting, and commercial partnerships.

URW launched the Advance Network in 2017 to grow and support diverse participation and new opportunities in the communities it serves including JFK, LAX, ORD, and across the airports industry.

We are also a proud supporter and partner of the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC). AMAC is dedicated to advancing the full participation of minorities and women in employment and contracting opportunities throughout the aviation and aerospace industries.
