Connecting with the Queens Community
Every year our team at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 8 is proud to participate in Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW)’s Community Day held company-wide and across the country. This year, with the themes of Stronger Communities and Boosting Biodiversity, our teams partnered with tremendous nonprofits doing exceptional work
The team took advantage of some beautiful weather to partner with the Showing Hearts Foundation in its Heart for the Community Day where they helped plant flowers, and paint park benches, and bleacher sections at Haggerty Park in Queens. They also distributed essential household and children’s items to a local shelter.
“We are thrilled to be here today to partner with Showing Hearts Foundation to benefit the community,” said Lynden Scott, URW General Manager, JFK T8. “At URW - we are very committed to giving back to our community. There is a lot on the horizon involving the Queens community and providing opportunities that are not only in reach in New York City but immediately in our neighborhoods. We are very much committed to showing up and contributing where we can but also creating opportunities down the road to bring people into our terminal.”
