JFK T8’s “A Traveling Dream” – Shenna Vaughn

Meet Queens, NY-based artist Shenna Vaughn of the JFK T8 Artist Showcase. Shenna’s medium of choice is oil on canvas.

Born and raised in Queens, Shenna Vaughn identifies as a multifaceted artist, educator, curator, and community advocate. Vaughn is the Co-Founder of Vaughn Bentley Creative, a Queens-based firm with a mission to uplift artist’s voices in the local New York community. Through dedication and talent, Vaughn has earned awards and recognition from organizations like the Queens Council on the Arts and the City Artist Corps, highlighting her contributions to the cultural landscape of her community.

Vaughn’s artistry reflects on her surroundings and life experiences, drawing inspiration from textures, geometric forms, and silhouettes. Her work is a creative and intuitive exploration of these elements, resulting in visually captivating pieces that resonate with viewers.

Vaughn's work is part of “A Traveling Dream” T8 Artist Showcase presented by URW, American Airlines, The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. In curation with Vaughn Bentley Creative, four local New York artists were chosen for the first installment of the artist showcase—highlighting local artistic expressions of what it means to be a New Yorker.
